Our Favorite Ice Pops

Monday, April 27, 2015

About two months back I bought these Munchkin Click Lock Fresh Food Freezer Pops from Amazon.com for $5. I wish I had bought them earlier. I was given an adult size ice pop molds before purchasing these but every time I went to take an ice pop out the stick would fall out without the ice pop attached to it.

These molds are literally one of the best inventions when it comes to feeding kids. Once your child has the concept of putting food into their mouth, they are perfectly capable of using these. Perfect size for chubby little hands and just the right amount of ice pop. The ice pop easily slides out of the mold. If you are having trouble getting it out, run it under cool water for a few seconds before pulling out.

I've seen so many moms making some awesome flavor combinations. Eventually I will try them but for now we have been enjoying some basic flavored ice pops. When making ice pops I make small batches, usually only filling 2 pops since Hendrix seems to get bored with repetitive flavors.

Some of our favorites:
Strawberry infused water
2 strawberries chopped
Fill molds with strawberries, then add water.

1/3 banana, mashed
1 tbsp nut butter
1 tsp chia seeds
1 tsp whole milk yogurt
Mix ingredients together and fill molds.

Handful of blackberries/blueberries
2 tbsp whole milk yogurt
Blend ingredients and fill molds.

1/2 banana
Handful raspberries
Blend ingredients and fill molds.
