Sensory Play- Jello Molds

Wednesday, April 8, 2015

Another week, another activity. We went very simple this week with our activity. This week I figured it was time to get messy again! Hendrix hasn't quite gotten the hang of smearing dirt all over the place. I guess I should be happy about that! This week we played with Jello molds.

What you'll need:
1 box of jello
Whatever you want to put in them
Silicone cupcake tray

* Follow directions on box to make Jello
* Fill silicone tray with objects of choice (I used food since I knew it would most likely end up in his mouth, which it did)
* Evenly fill cups with Jello
* Refrigerate overnight

I chose to use frozen peas, frozen blueberries, frozen raspberries, Cheerios, frozen strawberries, and frozen mango.

He had so much fun squishing his fingers in the Jello and picking out the food. Which cup did he choose to eat? The one with the frozen peas, gross! Crazy boy! He also picked out the strawberries and ate them too. I didn't want to stain the tub or have jello going down the drain, so I put a flat container in big enough for him to play in. He loved this activity, I would definitely do it again!
