Cauliflower Pizza Crust

Thursday, December 17, 2015

1/2 head fresh cauliflower (I only had 1/2 a head, a whole head can be used too)
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt/pepper to taste
1 egg
Sauce, homemade or store bought
Shredded mozzarella cheese

*Wash and roughly chop cauliflower. Place in food processor. Pulse until cauliflower looks like rice. Be sure not to mix that much of it will become mush.

*Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.

*Add cauliflower to a microwaveable bowl. Microwave for 5-7 minutes. Let cool. Either add to a mesh strainer or cheese cloth and squeeze out excess water.

*Put cauliflower into a bowl. Add egg, oregano, cheese, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Mix thoroughly.

*Spray pizza pan/baking sheet with nonstick spray. Place dough on pizza lab. Flatten to make dssired pizza size. Make sure not to make it too thin or it will be flimsy and have holes. Bake for 12-15 minutes.

*Turn oven to broiler. Top cauliflower crust with sauce, cheese and desired toppings. Broil in oven until cheese melts, about 3-4 minutes.

*Cut and enjoy!
