Watermelon Juice with Nûby

Monday, May 1, 2017

Summer is right around the corner. Temperatures are starting to get into the 80's here in Charlotte. Staying hydrated is so important during the spring and summer months, especially while playing outside. The Nuby Thirsty Kids Water Canteens are perfect for kids on the go. Spill proof with easy to use spouts and carrying handles. Hendrix loves these cups!

Over the weekend I sliced up a watermelon with Hendrix who kept reminding me, "I no like watermelon". Okay kid we get it, you don't like watermelon. He might not like watermelon but he loves watermelon juice. He's been feeling a bit under the weather this week so we decided to make some watermelon juice and watermelon ice pops.

Watermelon Juice
2 cups diced watermelon
2 cups water
1 tbsp lime juice

Blend watermelon until liquified. Drain through a mesh colander pushing the pulp down, to get out every last bit of juice. Stir in water, lime juice and enjoy. If juice separates once refrigerated, simply stir it with a spoon.

Watermelon Ice Pops
Pour watermelon juice into Nuby Garden Fresh Fruitsicle Tray and freeze overnight. Run base under cool water for about a minute to loosen ice pop from mold and enjoy!
